Core Data Project  - Objective and Study Design

Objective:  

The overall objective of the Core Data Project is to establish and maintain a PICU patient discharge database for the Clinical Centers of the CPCCRN.

Study Design:  

The Core Data Project will collect PICU discharge information form existing databases at each clinical center in the CPCCRN on an annual basis, combine the data into a single CPCCRN database and provide access to this database to all CPCCRN investigators and NICHD to support CPCCRN activities.
 
The Cored Data Project will collect simple de-identified descriptive data that are commonly available in hospital discharge databases.
